ALCATRAZ AGAIN

This collection comes from my second visit to the Alcatraz State Prison. It is a place full of views, dark corners, textures and little details that tell a lot of history. Everything around reflects a weird, sometimes heavy, energy. The interaction between lights and shadows. The ocean around seen from behind the bars. All that, somehow, bring also the notion of an unattainable freedom. It is a place of controversial feelings and emotions. The sadness and the pain from the times where people populated the island against the beauty of the nature and the look created by the time and the weathering. One of the big ironies is the fact the island is also on of the best places to view the San Francisco Bay. The views, specially at the sunset time, are spectacular. As usual, fine art prints off all the images are available.
